Wed, Feb 10, 2027 · 7:30 PM · Wells Hall at The Parker, Ft Lauderdale
Time and breath stand still in Barber's Adagio for Strings. Florence Price's expressive Violin Concerto No. 1, featuring acclaimed violinist Melissa White, blends Romantic-era sensibilities with musical influences rooted in African American spirituals and folk idioms. Nielsen's electrifying Symphony No. 2, based on the four temperaments, brings the evening to a thrilling finish with a vivid psychological portrait drawn in sound.
